ring gear question
I have a bad ring gear on a 84 500 sec. I have removed the tranny and am wondering if I can replace just the ring gear that is held on by 4 10mm bolts of do I need to r&r the gear and flex plate as one unit?

i would try to find a good used combination part.

Took your advice and found one at European connection for $100. Looks like a new one but alottttttttttttttt cheaper. Thanks
