Seat Spring Interchangablilty

Anyone know if a W126 seat spring (bottom) will fit a W123? Thanks.

And at the same time, will a 126 seat mount into a 123?

I took a chance and bought a W126 spring box on Ebay. Got it installed today in my W123. The W126 spring box itself was exactly the same as the one I had, minus the broken springs, of course.
