First oil change.

Got my oil changed today(92 s600). Since this was my first oil change I wanted to see how they got that airbox out and it seemed pretty easy and I will be doing my own oil changes from now on. I put full synthetic*castrol* in there ( which is recomended right?) wondering how long/miles I should wait til the next oil change?

Thanks.

Most people here, including the " oil-change freaks " , seem to agree on a 6 k miles change intervall, since you're using synthetic.

synthetic change

I would say if at least 30% of your driving is highway...you could go to 7500...
..or 7 with no problems

i worry more about the filter than the synthetic.

Somebody here once made an Excel file for anybody to download, to help you keep track of mileage and oil changes - either try searching for it, or maybe somebody here already has it, and can send it to you.

I'm not sure it's a good idea to keep your service records here.

Moderators routinely delete old threads to clean up the site.
