i don't know...seems like a nice car... not my color combo..but nice

i think he's a good 4k overpriced

deanyel 12-19-2006 10:33 PM

Priced like a cab - 6k to 8k too high.

LaRondo 12-19-2006 11:46 PM

Looks sharp! But really, the price is too high.

I think he expects you to bid less. If you take the BIN offer, I'm sure that he won't turn you down.

Is there a moonroof fitted to this car..? Whatever, does anybody know if and where there might be aftermarket moonroofs available to replace the steel hatch and if so, at what price? Practical or not, I would love to have it on my silver coupé...

A. Rosich 12-20-2006 06:41 PM

Not a bad example from what you usually see on the market for those models. Although, at the price, its too expensive and the interior is not perfect: the shift knob, some leather surfaces and the central burlwood panels show excessive damage for the mileage, have seen better kept interiors in higher mileage cars.

Now, about the moonroof, I know M.B. sells a kit so you may convert your steel sunroof to a moonroof in W140s. Although the option was available for the model. Since the moonroof was never available for W/C/S124s, I doubt they will have such a kit.

The whole interior does have that "over-scrubbed" look to it, doesn't it?
Brake fluid looks a bit brackish for such a well maintained example. Sharp car though. 18250? But yeah he's taking offers too, so may go down a bit. To the right person he might get it, who knows?

He's a nutjob - $18,000? He'll never get it.

a lot of people in that area have money...maybe some rich daddy will buy that for his high school daughter...

i am glad everyone thinks its too high..

a week or so ago...someone picked up a cabrio for under 10k, i think..

it needed some work..but not too much...

i paid 4800 for my coupe with 127k almost two years ago.... its just a daily driver, but fine for our needs...
