I was wondering whether i could get some parts help.
I am having the heads for my 77 Euro 350SLC rebuilt
and i need some camshafts. Unfortunately the mercedes
dealer wants $600 and $700 per camshaft, this is kind of expensive considering Performance sells 450SL camshafts for $250. The dealer refuses to give any part numbers (of course) so i was wondering where i can purchase the part book for my car... so i can find out the MB number for
the parts i need.
Maybe i can get the camshafts through FastLane?
(i already requested info)

116 051 58 01 left and 116 051 59 01 right, they are definitely different than any American model. As far as getting a parts book for that Euro car good luck! You would stand a better chance in getting the Micro film like I use here but then you need to buy a Micro Fiche reader which are kind of expensive.

The correct OE(euro) cam Part numbers are 116-051-58-01 left, & 116-051-59-01 right. I'm sure that even the later 420SEL cams will work with the correct cam bearings.
