Help! I ordered a CD manual but don't have it yet. What are the idle specs on a 90 560 SEL for rpm and timing vac-on and vac-off. And how do you adjust them?

My warm idle rpm was 950 and 30* advance, but great low emissions. (Can give you the numbers if needed) Easily got the idle to 700 with 1/4 CCW (leaner) turn of the mix adjustment and timing dropped to ~12. Is that where it should be?? Mine smoothly advances up to ~40 degrees as the engine revs, but with vac on, its not going lower than 10.

Is the EZL and R16 the total control of the timing on a 560 SEL? When I pull the vacuum at the ezl what should the timing go to? Down to the R16 setting? Mine was 12* with R16 at 750 ohms.

What is the right way to adjust it? The distributor is in the center of travel. Car runs fine and the emissions are all very low. It passed smog emissions, but the idle and timing was too high. Now with a little leaner mix, is this going to hurt my emissions to where I would fail the smog now?
