Suspension 82 300 TD

My suspension in the back works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. Is this part of the problem: I've noticed that the hydraulic resevoir leaks from the top where the line goes into (the big hole). Are there supposed to be gaskets to seal that connection?

The problem is often the hight valve that controlls the pressure of fluid to the rear ram shocks.

Need to make sure it moves through it's travel smoothly and that the rams are bled correctly.

With engine idling...wheels chocked...emergency brake on......disconnect the arm and push it all the way up....wait 1 to 2 minutes until height stabalizes....now move arm in down position...doing so will bleed the rams....it's normal for the valve to get hot doing this....you might need to do this 3 or 4 times .

Height must return to normal level when 400lbs is placed in the rear, within 2 minutes, or so.

If you can measure the pressure...normal ride height will need 550 psi to 600 psi in rear rams. System can output about 2000psi, so wear a face shield.

Thanks for the suggestion, will that also help with the leaking out of the resevoir?
