Angry Steering Wheel and ignision locked up

We have a 1994 C280 with 139K miles. The wife went shopping and parked the car. When she returned, the Wheel locked as well as the ignision. We tried to turn the wheel in both directions and play with the key inside ingnision. Nothing. This is the first time this has happend. Anyone have some information as to how to correct this?
Frank

Well I don't have that car but one question is does the key turn in the lock OK? Also did you try searching the site?

Welcome to the Huf business model

Huf, the manufacturer of the ignition lock cylinder, made a part that every MB owner will become familiar with late in the car's life. Do a search here for ignition, lock, cylinder, and you will find enoughinfo ot help you along.
If you do get the key to positions 2 or 3, don't turn it back - it makes replace much easier.
