300E Fuse Box Replacement

My 1986 300E seems to have some corrosion in the fuse box, the #2 fuse for the Windows and Wipers was old and dirty so I replaced with new and cleaned both sided of the contacts, it still had intermittent contact and I have to "spin" the fuse to get it to work. I am thinking about replacing the entire fuse box assembly, has anyone any experience and or cost in doing this or are there any other suggestions?

i would use a "domestic" in line fuse holder to by-pass that problem fuse. Simple & inexpensive.

300E Fuse Box Replacement

Ok I was hoping to keep the car OEM, if I did do this where would I tie into the circuit ?

All the connections are under the fuse box...

One option you could do is to use an empty slot in the fuse box. In my car I had one and I used it. I do not know if the wires are long enough but, at least you can still keep it OEM.
