How 'bout some "info" on it for all of us?? Or, is it a "secret"?? ;)

i bought it, dove it 10 hrs home and then had to return it to the dealer that sold it. Some not so legal things took place

This auction? Private sales always make me nervous. What was wrong with it?

MarkC 01-17-2007 01:24 PM

Oh come on! :) Please let us know the details about this car. :)

djtalon 01-17-2007 02:03 PM

does anyone know who bought it? It did go for a good price,

gmercoleza 01-17-2007 02:26 PM

What special knowledge do you have, pray tell?

We can all learn from the experience whether we bought this particular car or not.

djtalon 01-17-2007 02:31 PM

do a search under c43 and you should find my screename. You will find some of the problems i encountered. I just feel that it would suck if somone here bought that car and though it was as nice as the pics. Carfax does not report everything, especially not all accidents

mrhills0146 01-17-2007 03:42 PM

What is the deal with the cryptic warnings about this car?

If you have specific knowledge, post it! If not, it's nothing more than rumor-mongering. :madani:

Johnhef 01-17-2007 03:43 PM

theres a long list of what it needed when he bought it if you search. A lot of common 202 problems.

gmercoleza 01-17-2007 03:59 PM

I searched and found your thread(s). The problems seemed pretty typical. I don't think anything illegal took place unless you have additional info you did not post. I never saw any mention of hidden accident history, so I'm not sure what the gripe is with Carfax. Carfax won't disclose brake and suspension issues, transmission issues, etc. Most of those issues could have been discovered with a thorough PPI.

djtalon 01-18-2007 08:06 AM

lights removed from the dash prior to sale: ABS, AIRBAG, ESP, Check engine. Car was towed by A Arms and were bent (they could not do an alignment on the car. New tires so could not tell from wear) Drivers side rear was hit. Paint is bubling a bit under the light and when you look behind you can see it crushed. The rear stabilized bar link is missing, Only one key not like 2 in the picture, no owners manual, spare tire is a 15 inch not 17 AMG. It will not fit on the front wheel because of the brake size. Weird transmission problem that the dealer prob did not know about. Wheels look nice but the front passenger is out of round.

I guess if you got it for 12k it gives you some room to put money into it

Personally, I wouldn't touch that car with a, 39½-Foot pole...

This statement from the auction is enough reason for me to not want to make the purchase unless I inspected it for myself first...
