00 e430, factory alarm, the key does lock/unlock but is there a way for the alarm to beep so i dont have to guess by the lights alone ?

All I can say is, I hope not. Cars that honk the horn when locked and unlocked drive me nuts. Most particularly in motel rooms at night and early morning.

I swear, somedays I'm tempted to hurl a brick through somebodys windshield.
But IF YOU really want yours to beep, I believe it can be programmed to do it.
Just watch out for flying bricks.

maybe some members misunderstood me.
I just want to get the chirp sound when the car locks. that's all. Comes with all cars standard these days that have a remote lock/unlock.
