Idle Surge in 560SEL
I've had my intake seal and fuel distributor replaced and now I have idle surge. Idle regulator has also been replaced. Idle is otherwise smooth. No more vacuum leaks that I know of, and I understand that idle is controlled electronically anyway. Anybody experience this?

You say the idle regulator. Do you mean the idle control valve or the idle control regulator which is an electronic module? The idle control valves are adjustable and I have had a situation where the idle hunts or moves up and down. I cured the problem by adjusting the idle control valve spring pressure.

there is also a rpm control relay located under passenger side floor mat it is secured to lower foot well will say engine rpm this could be at fault. Also spray carb cleaner around cis head mount and fuel injector seals to check for vaccum leaks if leaking rpm of running engine will be affected. The voltage protection relay also plays an important part if it is going bad it will cause the say thing. It is located next to brake booster silver in color with 10 amp fuse

It's the idle control regulator. I will check out the idle control valve. Thanks.

If it is sort of a rythmic surge, it is probably the lambda setup overcompensating for a slightly rich or lean condition. I would suggest a new O2 sensor and a mixture adjustment using the on/off ratio.
