W210 windshield washer nozzle R&R
Just a quick post because I didn't find any threads with info on accessing the washer nozzles in the hood of the 210. I needed to check on mine because I had a leak there causing low nozzle pressure and rapid loss of fluid when I used the washers.
1. Open hood to max position 2. Remove lower hood pad/cover. This is held on by one screw on each side and a row of push clips at the top, many of which are hidden by the edge of the hood pad. Lift the edge of the pad to access the clips and undo them. Remove the cover by pulling off and lifting the bottom tabs out of the hood slots. 3. Now you can admire the nozzles from their underside. There are two small rectangular shapes at the botoom edge of each. These are little claw expanders that need to be pushed in. They are potentially recoverable for the reinstall, but I am currently just leaving them out. 4. Now you can pry the nozzles up and out. In my case the nozzle was disconnected from the plastic tee on the hose end, and I pushed it back on prior to taking this photo. Here you can see the little "claws" that hold the bottom of the nozzles on. http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/...do=full&p=1649 The picture's a little dark, but you can also see the tee coming in at the top. The nozzle clipped back in no problem, and installation is the reverse of disassembly. |
Thanks, R&R'd tonight as wifey got on my case for not fixing it since she told me last night....demanding biotch.
