i need help in locating a "euro-spec only" part please.

i have a '92 300e. i want to install a set of CLEAR repeater/ side marker lights on my car.
it seems no one can or will help me get part numbers and order these for me. bekkers quoted $ 29.00 u.s. for a single amber oem unit. i don't want amber and that price is HIGH. i know,i know it's a special part BUT not that special.

i do have a number for the amber it is 124 820 0421.i only have the one number.

can anyone help,PLEASE?

Mbenz- is this a big job? where exactly would i attach?

any and all help is apreciated.

i just want to make the car a little more "euro" and unique.

thanks in advance!

ebennz,

The mercedes side markers come in two different shapes. We had the stretched square ones and the oval-like ones. The square ones were used on the W124 and most of the other models until 1997. The oval ones were used on the W210 and later W202's and other after 1997 models.

The square repeaters were only available in amber. The oval ones were available in white.
You can get after market (original shaped) black ones as well and the only thing you need to do, is file a special shaped hole in your fender, click in the repeater and hook it up to the front indicators (hooking up is plug and play).
After market gray/clear square repeaters are available as well in case you are looking for those.

I do have a set of white oval, black oval and amber square repeaters and I do have one set of wires and bulbs...
If you are interested, I can send it to you. I can get you an example of the hole to file as well.
The after market black indicators cost 50 Deutsch mark per set (approx. 25USD) without the wires (european cars all have repeaters and these sets only need to be exchanged and connected to the present wires).

So, the only OEM repeaters were amber square and white oval
Let me know what you prefer or want...

hello steve,

thanks for your fast reply!

i've seen the clear indicators on a lot of w124's that "duck muck" posts. i thought maybe the later w124's came with clear repeaters especially if they came with clear turn signal markers, maybe not...

i would only want to go with oem.

i am waiting to hear from a source in the u.k.

do they come on with the parking lights? you know the lights that come on when light switch is turned left. what is the correct [euro] name for these?

one more question, my turn signal lights come on with my city lights is this the way your cars are set up?

thanks for your help steve, you are "the mercedes man"!!

I have been looking around and saw that mercedes did have white square side indicators on the C class models round 1996 just before the modelchange in 1997. So, it is possible to get OEM white square shaped side indicators (although there is absolutely no difference between the mercedes side indicators and the in=pro side indicators).

These side indicators do not come on together with the parking lights. The correct euro name is side indicators (in the Netherlands/Germany) and repeaters (in the UK).
In Europe the turn signal lights do not come on with the city lights. We only have a 5Watt bulb in the headlight unit that is called city light and the indicators are used as turn signals only.

Thanks for the compliment, you are making me blush...

greetingz,
