'92 W124 400E fog light

This is one of those niggling little things that should be a snap to fix.

Pass side fog light in my '92 400E is out. I change the bulb. Light does not come on. Took new bulb out, made sure that the connector was pressed all the way down into that "slot" (if you've replaced these bulbs you know what I mean) until it clicked. Still no fog light.

Checked fuses, all are fine.

Driver's side fog lamp works just fine, as do turn signals and headlights.

Any ideas?

check for 12v at the plug. sometimes the wires corrode, sometimes at the plug.

can't remember what the holder looks like, (wife has the car right now) but you might need a new bulb holder if current is getting there.

It takes a complete circuit for the light to come on. That bulb only has the one wire lead coming out to the spade connector. What about the rest of the circuit? Are you getting voltage from the wire lead to ground? Is the bulb base making good electrical contact? Work your way on down the circuit until you get a good ground, or up the circuit until you do get voltage. (You might find that the bulb you replaced is still good!)

(I just replaced my right one last weekend! It lit right away.)
