94 E420, What Thermostat to Use?
When I searched for a thermostat I got 2 results. One looks like a standard thermostat, and the other looks like the thermostat is integrated into the housing. Are these year or model specific? If they are interchangable is one better than the other? Thanks for the help.

You will have to take a look at your engine number.

Where is that # located? I haven't been able to find a number that looks like that. I also haven't been able to find any info related to this in my CDs, books or searching the posts. Thanks again for the help.

Most countries and States have that information recorded on their vehicle Registration documents?

So I finally found an old post sugesting to call the dealer, so I did. Turns out that my engine # is 119.975 12-016231. I would have thought I had a higher number since the car is a later model 124 v-8 relatively. Thermostat and hose elbow should arrive today, replace tommorow. Thanks
