hey guys the sunroof on my 2001 c240 does not wnat to open

what can be the culprit..

i have to wait a week for dealer to look at it..

The sunroof is computer activated & the switch(part of another computer) only sends a signal to this computer. The rear SAM(signal avtiveted module) sends power to this unit.

It just needs to be resychronized. There is a simple procedure, but I'm not sure of what it is. Your dealer should be able to tell you, also, I think the process may be described in the owners manual.

Its something really simple, like hold the switch down for 10 seconds, or something like that.

If I come across the info, I'll post it. But I'd just call and ask the dealer.

i believe the power is there... i tried to resyncronize it and still nothing.. teh sunroof ppops up and closes right away.. but the sunroof does not open at all.. just pops up and right back down...

The syncro process is for a sunroof that works but won't operate in the automatic mode!!
