I was wondering how do i check the differential oil level in my '82 300D TurboDiesel. This is the first rwd car I've owned so I never had to do this. Thanks.

There is a drain plug on the bottom and a fill plug about 1/2 way up. Remove the fill plug and it should be close to the bottom of the hole. Should at least be able to stick your finger in there and touch it. To get it topped all the way up, it will actually drip out the fill hole. The plugs require I believe it is a 17mm allen insert wrench....Gilly

I think that is a 14mm hex wrench. Guess you have probably figured that out by now.
