An aftermarket ehxaust pipe has a bad fit with existing one. This caused excessive torque, eventually fracturing the clamp. It is not possible to replace the clamp without cutting off and re-welding the flared portion of the pipe.

Is there a split-flange clamp that can be used in this application?

Thanks for reply M.B.DOC,

What do you mean by "slotted"? I assume you re-welded the flare. I have seen re-welded clamp halves on my dad's '82 300SD - they all eventually fail (or welder has to be good).
