I'm just a girl who needs a little help

I have a 1992 400E (with a 500 engine in it....sweeeeet), and it was hit on the right rear fender by the taillight. It appears that both rear fenders are attached together by a thin piece that goes by the rear bumper. What is this called??? I'm trying to find one to replace my dented one, and cannot find a name for it.:dizzy2: I'm also trying to find the best price on a right taillight lens...any hints? Thank you

Hello there.
This peice you are describing is called the rear lower valance panel.
It should be easily acquired for that car, just using local sources like wrecking yards, etc. Someone will have it, just describe it to them for a confirmation. I could be mistaken, but I'm almost positive that's the piece you are referring to. Have a great day, and good luck.
P.S. Does your husband know about it yet..? SSSHHH...LOL:D

Are you in Southern California?

About a year ago, my mechanic had a '92 400E in the shop with a 5.0 liter V8 in it.

Never seizes to amaze me how quickly a girl gets answers around here.
Whenever I post a question I get ignored. :D :D

Very true.

Remember "Ginger" from a few years back?

So... If my wife asks all the questions, I'll get "better" answers? Or, do we change the "Wanted, good women....must cook, fish, cut bait.....send picture of boat and motor" story to send VIN and picture of motor?:D

Hmmm

This HIJACK is perilously near to becoming an OD topic.

Be careful, she may be better at building engines than you fellows are. :D

truckinik 02-02-2007 07:38 PM

Well, I don't care either way. She asked a car question, I gave her a car answer. I just hope she makes out ok finding the part she needs.
Not a dating site. If she were interested she'd contact whoever she's interested in.
