2003 210 (E320) Wagon ride height measurements

Can anybody supply what the proper height the rear of a E320 wagon should be? This car has about 57k miles.

I have searched and have not found any measurements. I suppose using rear jack pads would be OK.

What does the factory call for at the rear? I am sure the rear is sitting slightly low while my experience is that it should be sitting slightly higher than the front.

You're measuing with motor running and with suspension having been "bounced" a bit, right?

MB recommends measuring the angles of the front lower control arms and the rear axle shafts with an electronic inclinometer to accurately determine vehicle ride height. Measuring the distance from the ground, to the lip of the fenders, down the center-line of the wheels is a simple, quick, and cheap alternative to the factory method (although not as accurate). Why don't you take a ride to your nearest dealer and see if they have a car like yours on their Pre-Owned lot? If they do, take some measurements so you'll have some idea of where your car should sit.

I noticed the coolant temp was just below 80 deg Celsius. That is a bit low, right? My 103 and 104 engines use 87 deg stat. I bet I need to replace the stat on the wagon.

My test drive the other day was too short for me to notice this issue.

The V6 is a completely different engine, and cooling system

Congratulations on the new rig! 4 Matic is simply great when you can use it.

Even though it is winter and cold, always check your coolant ratio and cooling system. Never hurts. It could simply be the normal range, it could be the T-stat, if could be .......

We don't get very cool weather here so I am not the one to confer with. The 95 E320 always ran warm.

Right. We still have lots of snow on the ground now. I was amased how the 4Matic handles with even the Michlin Energy tires on them. These tires cannot move my 97 E320 a foot.

Does the V6 also use the 87 deg C stat? Thanks.
