If its an M116 with original 160k guides it won't be around much longer...Hows the rest of the car?:D

i know this thread is old, but my C230 Kompressor timing chain snapped with roughly 160k on the motor. The head was replaced by a reputable indie shop, and the car never ran right after that [regardless of my complaints to him about it]. After about 2 years after the job was done, a clatter developed at start up, a little after that, a little bit of chain noise, I took it to him to inspect and he said its not the timing chain but he wasnt sure what it was. Two weeks later, I was left with a hole in my valve cover, a snapped chain, dead car, and still debating on what to do with it.
