Is this where the 103 Head Gasket Leaks?
 

The pics below are from the right side. Oil is dripping off the engine in three places.

I can see oil in the space between the head and the block, exactly in the right rear corner. The engine is wet with oil below that area.

Is this where the oil drips when the head gasket leaks? There is no trace of oil in the coolant, BTW.

i don't mean to usurp Ron...but that's the underside of the car..

head gasket is on top... look for leaks there...the oil may be flowing down to the underside of the car......

if it's a drop a day... i wouldn't give it a second thought.

My '92 300E had the head gasket replaced at about 75K. I bought the car with a little over 100K. At some point I started to notice the need to add oil mainly after long interstate runs of 400 - 600 miles. Also noticed very slow loss of coolant.

I was able to eyeball the leak. Passenger side 2/3 r'd of the way back toward rear of engine. What happens is that the oil gets caught in the airflow and creates an oily mess on the bellhousing. Mine looks a lot like yours.

I have now been adding oil and coolant for around 130,000 miles. Engine runs fine with no cross contamination between oil and coolant. Plugs are normal.

This is not to say that is your problem. Could be valve cover gasket leak. Jack it up and crawl under there with a flash light. With engine running you should be able to see the source of the leak on the parting line between head and block.

I never put any stock in mechanic-in-a-can products. How can this product stop head gasket leaks and not clog the radiator and heater cores?

The only use for this product is to mask a problem before sale, not for permanent repair.

brewtoo, just check your top portion of the engine from the cover going to the cylinder head and see if there are traces of oil leak around that perimeter, by the way,as a CAUTION in one of the comment about HAVING TO JACK UP A CAR WITH ITS ENGINE RUNNING . NEVER NEVER DO THAT, I HOPE THAT SUGGESTION STOPS HERE, STAY SAFE AND ENJOY YOUR MERCEDES BENZ RIDE.
