Brake Rotors E320 W210 - Any Recommendation?
 

I just got new F+R set of PBR Deluxe Plus brake pads for my 01 E320 W210 50Kmi and I am considering replacing the rotors as well while I am at it.

Does any one have any recommendation for after market brake rotors in term of quality, performance, price and where to get those? plain, slotted or drilled?

Rotors for these cars are VERY cost effective and MB recommends that you do not cut their rotors. Before ordering rotors from Phil, however, mic the existing ones and don't replace them unless they are worn past spec. In other words if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I have run MB rotors seemingly forever without having to replace them.

The usual rule of thumb is replace rotors after every third pad change. Visual inspection of at least two vehicles I own, confirm this type of wear pattern.

Zimmerman is the rotor of choice. I'm opting for the slotted ones now for looks, since I've also painted the brake calipers.

The aftermarket rims expose a lot of hub internals now, so the painted calipers and slotted rotors really set things off!

I like my cross drilled Zimmerman, but ATE are good as well.

My friend bought rotores for his W210 from the dealer and was surprised how cheap they were. If I remember correctly with his discount they were about what the aftermarket ones cost online.

Can ATE rotor go on any benz? or is it only on Benz that are designed to take ATE? I read somewhere that to use ATE rotors you must also have Brake Calipers that supports these type of rotors? Is this true?

Hmm? ATE is a big brake part suppler to MB, and other car companies as well. Take a scan through Fastlane they make a lot of brake parts.

Any company that can make rotors can make them to fit any Mercedes.
