Hydraulic Fluid Leak 95 SL 500

What appears to be hydraulic fluid is dripping from my car's left rear quarter pannel. The only thing I can figure is,it must be from the suspension. How do I know if my car has self-leveling suspension or not. Any suggestions? I live in Montana and the Mercedes dealer is a very long way away.

I'd start by checking the hydraulic system used to raise the convertible top,,, if there are no leaks, then look further south.

Whisman,
I agree with Juck about checking the top system hydraulic fluid. Pump is located in a compartment beneath your spare tire. Fluid level should be between min and max marks.

I'm not familiar with the SL500. Could the leak also be from the roll bar mechanism?
