Fuel smell 1994 S500

I'm getting a heavy fuel smell when starting my S500. Seems to go away when on the road. Can't find any fuel leaks. Any place I should look. How are the injector sealed?

Thanks

Check in the area where the fuel pumps are - A small hole in the high pressure feed line can make a fine mist; so alot of the fuel will get blown away, unless you are not moving, and the plastic shielding eventually fills up and leaks fuel on to the ground.
I found my leak was easy to find in the dark, using one of those high-powered spotlights (engine running).

gurban, many things could be leaking and causing a gas smell at start-up. It's possible the EHA valve has developed a hairline crack that weeps gas ... the valve exterior is wet at a cold start; however, as the engine compartment heats up the leaking gas evaporates so there is no gas smell. Closely examine the EHA valve during a cold start.
