SLS help needed

I took apart the threaded rod that connects the SLS rod (?) to the lever coming out of the SLS valve. I started the car and moved the lever that comes out of the SLS valve. The rear of the car went up but won't come back down. Before it had a soft ride and the rear would not raise up when I added weight to the car. Now the rear is up about 4" and it rides like it has NO suspension, very stiff like a trailer. I'm going to try and work on it again tomorrow. Anyone have any ideas? At least I know the pump works and I guess the shocks hold fluid.

Thanks,

Chris

It's the MB in the signature line not the Dodge.

have you tried swinging the lever back fully in the other direction?

I did try that.

I think my vavle is messed up. It went up, but now down. I'm going out to bleed it, if the bleeder works and I don't break it. That should let it come back down. I'll unhook the linkage, start it and then hook it back up. Has anyone replaced or rebuilt the SLS valve?

It very well may be broken, but I'm still curious if you have swung the lever to full opposite lock?

No, the repair kits for these are NLA. New or used is where it's at.

Update

Ok I tried to move the lever up which should lower the car. I heard the valve whine like it was working, but no movement of the car. I finally rotated the lever 360 degrees and pushed up, the car came back down. So my wife can drive it again and I can go skiing. I'm not sure why I had to do a full revolution, but I think my valve may be worn out. So I have to replace the valve I can't rebuild it? Oh well a project for another day.

Thanks for the help.

Chris

Have a great day.
I spent about 4 hours reading through most of those posts yesterday. That gave me the confidence to try what I did. I'm 95% sure I need a new valve.
