A 190e 206 5speed & old guys summerOdyssey

I should have started a new tread for this but instead replyied to Larry Bible responce, so here goes, Come summer in the high country I will travel thru Rky Mtn Natl Park over Trail Ridge Rd @ 10,000+ ft, down the back side switchbacks, over to Grandy, then to Steamboat Springs, thru Craig to Dinosaur Natl Park, down a 15% grade to camp in Echo Park at the confulence of the Green and Yampa River. Sleeping in the Dirt, on to Colorado Natl Momument at Grand Junction, then to Glenwood Springs, where I-70 runs the Colorado River, ( the most scienic Interstate drive in the US) then over Vail and Loveland Pass. All this in my newly accquired 1990 190e 2.6 5speed, this should test the cooling system and the brakes as well as the bones of this 71 yrs old, @112,000 miles, (the car not me) One nice outing don' you thing, I will advise you Flat Landers how the car preforms. Wish me luck Moonshine

I took my 5 speed 300E into the Guadalupe mountains of New Mexico the year before last and had a great time. I went no higher than about 8,500 feet, but it was a lot of fun. The car did well and we had a great vacation.

Enjoy.
