Low fuel warning help
my 2004 GMC Savana low fuel warning light came on even though the tank is full. Gauge reads empty/tank is full. Is this a sending unit problem or what?
thanks anyone... dave |

Well, yeah, Its probably a shot sending unit. But, your best bet for info on a GMC product would be one of the Chevrolet-GMC truck forums. Check on yahoo. They know a heck of a lot more about GM products than most of us do.
Good Luck, and God Bless, Dave. |
Talk to your dealer, there have been many issues with the fuel pump/sending unit. It appears that certain brands and/or formulation of gas are causing failiure of the sending unit. Ethanol seems to be a common factor. They might fix it at a reduced price under the goodwill policy.
