W-126 Lowering springs ????????

Can you use the regular H & R lowering springs intended for a w126 (560sel) gasser on a w126 (300SD) diesel with no adverse effects?

Thanks

I know MB had a bunch of different springs factory, even between the same model. Ie you could get different rear springs if you ordered power rear seats, etc.

Your taking a chance, my gut says it will probably work.

No, you can not. The 560 springs are designed for a car w/ SLS, your SD requires springs that are designed (ie, stiffer) for non SLS equipped cars.

You'll find your SD will ride VERY low in the rear even w/ the maximum shim installed.

You can run springs for any non SLS 126 in your 300 w/o issue.

If you find a 560SEL that does not have SLS then you would be okay- and not all 560SEL had SLS I believe.

No, SLS was factory standard on all 126 560's.

I know H&R made kits for non SLS W126's, don't know if they still do.

check the tire rack...they're your best bet for springs these days.
