I did drop a wrench one time that happened to span and weld itself to both termionals, untill the wrench glowed red and poped in the middle like a 500 amp fuse. It was cool but it scared the s@#$ out of me.

When I was a kid I used to watch a farmer down the road weld with a couple of batteries in series.. not a bad weld, either.
