in a way this is fortunate, because i bought this car at a junkyard in February for $500 with a salvage title because everyone thought it had a dead turbo/or engine. It had a top speed of 15 mph and would shoot to 70 if you waited 5 seconds...it was also gross inside..
I changed the tank filter, both fuel filters on MERCEDES SHOP steve Brotherton's advice, and one of the lines, because it looked pretty bad.
The car runs great now..especially since its summer. even the AC is freezing!
However it still runs terrible for the first two or three minutes until it gets warm--what should i adjust, clean. or replace or troubleshoot?

(no talent, lots of luck, ask a lot of questions, drink a lot of coffee, and stay up all night--somehow i get them running...)

Basics

Start with the basics.
1. Valve adjustment.
2. Check glow plugs (but these should not cause rough idle for that long-just 5-10 seconds)
