2000 C280, W202 chassis Front Brakes

I'm getting ready to change out front rotors and pads and was reviewing the repair in my Haynes manual. The manual says to replace the caliper mounting bolts. Is this necessary? I've changed the brakes/rotors a few times on my W124 and just reuse the bolts.

Thanks,

Probably not necessary, if they're not mangled. Just put some loctite on them and put them back.

I got it on ebay and I think it is a UK import. It is for 1993-8/2000 models C180, C200, C220, C230 and C250, Haynes #3511. It does not cover the Kompressor or 6 cylinder engines. (I should have read the ebay ad more carefully! <g>)

The ISBN is 1 85960 511 7. The engine sections are aimed at the 4 cylinders but there is so much good information in the other sections that it is worth it for the 6 cylinder owners to have a copy of the book. If you go on Amazon.com and look up the book, you will see other sellers listed besides Amazon (which usually will take a while to source it for you). I ordered from the guy in FL and it arrived in about 5 days.
