560 SEC Euro versions
Can someone tell me if the Euro 560sec's had speedometers in mph or kph.
Did any Euros come with mph speedo's? Just trying to determine a true Euro from a psuedo Euro. I am looking at a Euro version but it has an mph speedometer which seems weird. |
It depended on the destination market whether they were in mph or kph, so yes, Euro models did come with speedos in mph. The UK and HK markets had them up until mid 80s in mph.

Well, it gets a little more complicated than market destination.
Yes, M-Bs did came standard with MPH speedometers for U.K., Hong Kong and U.S.A. But the option was openly available on the option list and as a "no charge option". Hence you may find (which I have seen) a car destined for a non-MPH regulation market and it could come with a MPH speedometer. |

Thanks everyone for the input. This car was a Japanese import that was recently brought in and had all the DOT conversions done. I don't know what the country of origin was originally. I guess I'll have to check the VIN numbers on the Russian site and see what comes up.
