I would like to switch the pass. side seat to the drivers side on my 82 300SD. They appear to be the same except for the arm rest. Has any one out there tried this ?

Micheal Medill who owns an independent MB shop and sells used parts online in Portland Oregon told me it could be done .I think he said you have to switch frames..... He is very easy to work with and I have been pleased with the used parts I have got from him for both my 240D and my 81sd his web site is worth checking out..........

126 front seats
I just did that very thing on my 81' 380 SEL. Took the passenger seat and switched it to the drivers side as it was loosing support. The only semi tricky part is the seat adjustment levers, but their easy to figure out. If the arm rest is a problem, just the switch the seat bottoms. The whole seat comes out and appart fairly easily. Good luck!
