'87 560sel - how do I disable alarm?
 

How do I disable the alarm on this car (87 560sel)? It activates constantly for no apparent reason and usually in the dead of night! Not only is it annoying but I'm afraid for the life of the battery. I've considered removing the fuse for the horn and headlights but this seems unreasonable and inconvenient. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

pull up carpet in front of pass[under glovebox] you will see a black panel [with the top leaning forward towards firewall] the module box you are looking for is on the floor covered by panel.there are two plugs into it.part number should be 126-820-24-26 and it should have vdo name on it.pull out both plugs and the alasrm should be disabled.
