Question W210 Lower Dash removal

I need to replace the stoplight switch on my 1998 E320. I can't find the combination to remove the left lower dash. I have the left vertical phillips head out, the footwell vent cover off and the lower dash to floor fastener off, but the lower dash seems rigidly connected to the main dash and the center console. How do I free it?

Do a search on "S320 lower dash". Maybe your W210 uses the same type latches. Pictures really make it clear.

The cover is hooked into the center console - I think you need to push up there to release. Also, I think you need to remove the screw at the hood release handle.

Smile Thanks for advice

I thank all three of you for the advice, pictures and video on removing the lower dash of my E320. All were a help.

Since there were no pictures regarding the W210, I am going to attempt to upload some that I took during the job.

Thanks again, Bob D.
