Has anyone replace this bushing without removing the whole front axle ????? If this is possible, ..how hard it is to put it back ??

In my 300e, all you have to remove is the sway bar. A couple of nuts and bolts and that is it. I can not believe your model should be much different.

thanks J, ...this sway bar is a part of the control arm assembly, ...wouldn't this affects the front wheel alignment if minor distorsion is present during assembly ?
Are you aware of any check points or procedure to follow so as not alter existing alignment >...?

If yours is the same as my car, only rubber touches the sway bar. Any minor distorsions should be self adjusted by the rubber "giving in". The way I did my car was by unbolting the outer bushings first and then the inner bushings. Reassembly was inner first and outer second. I did it on a lift but, the final adjustment/tightening was with the wheels on the ground, because that is the way the sway bar is going to stay...
Good luck!

J, ...thanks much. I'll go ahead and make the repairs. While the car is on the jackstand, ..I'll raise both axle halfway in order to balance the load on the sway bar .
