'89 300E stalls at 50 to 65 degrees
1989 300E stalling at 50 to 60 degrees. If I back off and then quickly push accelerator it takes the gas again. Is there a temperature sensor of some kind? Once it warms up it goes back to normal or if it is real cold it runs o.k.

Had a cool spell hit this weekend and still boggs down between 40 to 60 degrees. Give it gas and almost nothing, let off quick & give it gas then it will run for a couple more seconds then bogg down again. Does this for about 5 miles or til it warms up real good.Surely somebody has had this happen before. Help???

Sounds like you are running out of available voltage or fuel. Got a test plan?

Not sure. Didn't know you could literally run out of voltage? What could cause that at 50 degrees and not at 70 degress?
