Should there be a check engine light on my '87 300e

Hi all,

I'm doing some research on this mixture problem that I'm having and I was looking through chapter 07.3-0121 (testing electrical components of KE injection system) and on page 80 it refers to a check engine light. My car has a red light labeled O2-Sensor. Is this correct?

I don't see anywhere in this chapter (testing electrical components) of a reference to an O2-Sensor light. I'm still just trying to determine WHERE to check the resistance of the coolant temperature sensor.

Thanks,

Bob

That O2 lamp is correct.

Check resistance at the temp sensor. there are 2 electrical connectors. Use a good engine ground & measure to each of those female connectors on the sensor.
