96 C220 Rear Window Defrost Not Working

I was wondering if someone can give me advise on what to check to get my rear window defroster to work. The switch indicates that it works when you turn it on. Maybe a connection came loose somewhere? Help would greatly be appreciated.

PS I have checked the fuses..

Does the defroster switch light up and then flash? Mine did
('95 C220) and the problem was the combination relay which
controls the defroster. Replaced it and defroster now
works.

No, the switch does not flash as far as I can tell....

Where is the relay? Under the hood?

In the '95 C220 its in the relay box next to the fuse
box. Assume that's where it is with your car. It's the
largest relay.
