1995 E320 Wagon Starting Issue

I have a 1995 E320 Wagon with 85k on it. Recently I can only start it in when it is in neutral. After it is warm, it will start in park. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I assume by "does not start" , you mean does not crank over ...

Replace it...common complaint.

I would do the shift bushing at the same time...

Easy and inexpensive repair, but don't put it off. One random day the neutral start switch will fail completely and the car won't start at all. Per murphys law, this will occur at the most inconvenient time and location. Don't ask how I know this...

Many thanks. I will replace the neutral saftery switch and the bushings asap. Would not want to get stranded anywhere. That is for sure.
