Would anyone know...

Where I can find a short shifter for a '91 190E 2.6? I can't seem to find any but I'm sure they exist.
Also, could any of you recommend me the best brand of synthetic oil for my Benz?

And I already had another thead but, to anyone who has tried, what other size and/or brand of tire would maximize my traction and handling?

While I'm at it.. I just wonder, are there any part I can take from other cars (other brands) to put on my Benz with a direct fit and that would give me an equally great level of satisfaction?
(Just wondering as not all Benz parts are cheap...)

is your shifter acting up?

if so it may respond to new plastic bushings in the shifter or to new bushings on the shift rods under the floor board.

the benz shifters are pretty good operating if all the bushes are in good shape and it is lubricated properly.

the length of the shift rods can also be adjusted to move the shift pattern further away from the dash if it is too far forward too.

my son in law has a 74 porsche which has a short shift kit on it. this kit makes the shifter baulky in my opinion and i have tried to convince my SIL to get rid of it but he likes the idea of it. it makes the tranny try to select two gears at once. i am afraid he is headed for a very expensive repair bill because of the shifter operation.

Thanks for the links!

And t walgamuth, what do you mean the shifter is acting up?
I feel like there's a wire that's rather loose when I put it in gear and I hear a clunking noise in the back at times when I shift gears
