Exclamation 1999 E320

I had my mechanic tell me I have a bad regulator...i purchased one and took it to him and he says it is the wrong thing..."the pigtail isn;t long enough and we need a female end, not a male end"

any ideas where I can find one of these older regulator's or how mine will work that I purchased...he says the regulator is right aside from those things it looks like the one in the car...any ideas?

Suspect you are referring to a fan blower motor regulator?

If so....Pay special atention to chassis cut off dates. If it falls between these numbers http://catalog.worldpac.com/mercedesshop/sophio/wizard.jsp?partner=mercedesshop&clientid=catalog.mercedesshop&baseurl=http://catalog.peachparts.com/&cookieid=25L0RF04Y25U00Z5MG&year=1999&make=MB&model=E-320-005&category=R&part=Blower+Regulator it is replaceable. If not you will need a new blower motor, regulator, and plastic cover assembly.

If the latter is the case you can also purchase a W140 regulator and cut and splice the wiring to work on the W210 blower.
