My car all of a sudden developed a miss. At first I thought
it was only at idle/low speeds but I found that it misses all of the time. I replaced the injector and still have the miss. It's getting plenty of fuel to the injector..... What should I do? I'm would like to sell it and take my losses? I replaced the trans. at an authorized Mercedes shop this past January ($2300), New set of Michelin($400+). HELP!!!!!!!!!!! |

Oh my gosh. You sound like your in the exact situation i was in a few months ago!
on my 92 300D 2.5 i replaced the transmission at dealer for 4 grand Then new tires mxv4 for about 450 then new motor mounts, tranny mounts, R12, paint job etc. Then #4 cylinder was acting up and my car was missing all the time, I took it to dealer they said I have low compresssion in one cylinder and wants 8500.00 plus extra parts to get it fixed. So a total of 10 grand. |

engine miss
If the fuel injector is good and engine misses at all rpm's I'd remove valve cover and look at lobes on camshaft for wear. An worn lobe will not open valves all the way and cause a miss.
