Replacing A/c Items

I have recently ordered a new expansion valve, drier and the two leads on the drier for the aux fan for my 420sel. i intend to replace them and cure my leaky a/c once and for all. My question is that when i replace these items do i need to by some sort of o rings for them or do these parts come with them or even need them. the expansion valve looks like a PITA so I dont want to do it over again and i cant afford to throw away 150 dollars worth of r12. thanks for any replies

I had to get my own o-rings... it seems like i ordered some extras as well.

the expansion valve is a PIA...i thought it would be impossible to do on a
w124...it just took a lot of patience...a lot of patience

you will swear you can't get the wrenches in there..but you can.

On the 124 it can help a lot to remove the black plastic trim pieces above the expansion valve.

The new drier will probably have plugs with o-rings underneath. Should you use them? Probably not, if you remembered to order new ones.

so all three items need o-rings purchased separatly?

New o-rings for every part that you replace is always a good idea in MVAC.

These guys are near you and know their stuff. Go there and ask for what you need. They'll have it.
