if you have a digital photo and hang out at this site, please take photos of your car projects, wether its an oil change or engine rebuild. A picture is worth a thousand words..I really find the photos helpful and I will bet many others do..
If you do not have means of posting the photos to the internet, please email them to me and I will put em on geocities or something and post the url in your thread

My email is cgw993@aol.com

Mach,
I just got a digital camera this weekend. I will be posting EVERYTHING I do, no need to worry!

Be sure and check out my post of CLK & C280 PICTURES in the open discussion forum!

I totally agree! If can afford a benz we can afford a digital camera! :)

I just upload them to the webspace my ISP provides. I already pay for service, why not use it? :)

John, If you need somewhere to post your pics, My isp gave me 160 megs of space formy business domain, and I have only used like 30megs so far in the last 2 years. :)

So if need be, you can send em to me and I'll upload them to my webspace for you.

I might even be able to give you access for FTP to the folder for your pics, I'll have tolook into it though.

John,
I know... I don't know if I want to pay 20 or 30 $ for webspace either...
Anyone know of another free place to hold photos?

(PS: I wonder when we're gonna have another free shipping at partsshop...)

MikeTangas 05-31-2001 06:37 PM

David,

Check with your ISP, most usually have some amount, 5-10 megs, of web space set aside for each customer. That's where I post mine, right to my personal little slice of the internet pie, and all for the same low monthly amount I pay to surf the web and send/receive email.

I do have some free webspace. I am on AOL, and I can hold the photos in a webpage, the the problem is, it only lets u hold one photo and then some writing. I know there is a way around it, but have not yet figured it out...

Anyone with AOL know how to access the free web space with ease?

Ashman 05-31-2001 06:53 PM

John, I sent you an e-mail... I setup a free webspace for you on my webserver.

I got a tip from someone here which seems good, try http://www.netfirms.com it's free and they'll give you 25 MB of disk space...
I agree that pictures is a very good idea, just be sure to include some image captions that explains the steps of the job. It gets a lot easier to follow that way...
