Looking at a car with a groaning noise when wheel is turned - not terrible - steering feels smooth otherwise. What's the approx cost for a power steering pump replacement?

You might try loosening the pump line and drain old fluid into a bucket while the front wheels are off the ground and turning wheel lock to lock. Put in fresh fluid and you may just notice a difference. Good luck.

I think that you may be looking at noisy ball joints or a steering dampner making noise. Just something else to think about. Brian
