Cracked AC compressor manifold???
 

1981 240D - Took it in for routine AC service. Shop said that manifold was cracked, and would need to be repaired before the AC could be serviced. I don't know what manifold they are talking about. Help!

The two hoses/metal lines that connect to the back of the A.C. compressor
do so through a plate that is bolted to the compressor.
The plate is the "manifold".

While the metal plate most resembles our concepts of manifolds, the part includes the hoses also, thus they are usually refered to as manifold assemblies. My point in stating this isn't to be picky but to prevent one from trying to buy just the "manifold".

The MB number for this part is 000 130 04 57.
