400E wiring harness hours to replace ?
Funny about the 300E with the same question, but I finally gotta do it to the 400 and it HAS to be more involved than the 300. Anyone done one ?

I'm not sure about the 300 / 103 motor, they fail so rarely, but a 400E is easier than an E320. I'd say 2 to 3 hours for a first timer, which is maybe an hour less than an 320. Dealer have been known to charge up to 6 hours for a 320 but I know someone who has witnessed it done in an hour and 15 minutes by an experienced tech.

Sure, 2-4 hours I'd say for a first timer...hardest part on a 400E/500E is getting the big connector thru the side firewall to the CAN area IMO. The rest is pretty easy tho, lay the old next to the existing and plug away.
Yes, a dealer will certainly charge you book time...not sure if its 6 hours but if it takes a pro 1-2 , you can bet they'll charge you 3-4 at least. |

It's been awhile since I've done one but as I recall it was a piece of cake - like under an hour.
